And the winner is...

Carrie Sillito!
E-mail me, call me, whatever gets you ahold of me the fastest, DO IT! :-) Let's get you your massage!

To everyone else, I really appreciated the input on the party question. Here is what I gathered:

  1. Pure Massage Pamper Parties are definitely something that people will attend. The discount is great, lots of choices to fit everyone's needs, and who doesn't need a massage? Really.
  2. There are party throwing people, and there are not! Plain and simple. So, hopefully I can find the people out there willing to host, or (a small favor!) just go ahead and let that person that you know that does parties that there is something new out there that would give them their party fix, AND a free massage! That will also guarantee you to have a place to go get your massage for less (BONUS)!
Again, thank you everyone for commenting! It is so helpful to me as I begin to build my massage business! (Remember, every week I give away a massage, so keep trying!)

Pamper Party Success!

Last Saturday I had my first Pure Massage Pamper Party, and it was a HUGE success! I'll admit, it was an "experiment". I wasn't sure how many people would want to show up to a friend or family members home and get a massage. All doubts and questions were answered when I started massaging a little after 7, and didn't stop until just after 10! I am so grateful to the host, Kate, for being simply amazing! Also, for everyone who came. So, what made it successful? Here are my thoughts:

  • Great prices. Hands down. People shy away from parties when they think that they will have to spend at least $50, but not here. $5-$20. There really is something for everyone!
  • Time. Committing an hour massage would be nice, but sometimes isn't going to happen. Massages are no longer than 30 minutes. And, the opportunity to purchase longer massages at the party discount is still available!
  • Location. You are in a comfortable place, with people you know and like to be around. Lots of times, you are with family, or friends who you love to see and spend time with before and after your massage.
I am hoping to do a lot more of these in the future! Which leads me to this weeks free massage drawing:

Would you attend a Pure Massage Pamper Party? Would you host one? Leave feedback on which you would choose, and why, and be entered into this week's drawing for a free half hour massage! (Hypothetical...you are not signing up for anything!)

First Giveaway!

My goal is to schedule one new massage a week, and if I have to give that massage away, so be it. I know that word of mouth is the best advertising, so I had better get people talking.

The first giveaway is a 30 minute massage in your home. All you have to do is get on Facebook, and "Like" Pure Massage. Of course share this knowledge! Tell all of your friends, family, and well...everyone on your Facebook in this area. When I see a name added on the page, it will be added to the drawing for the massage. One lucky person will be chosen and posted (via Facebook and the blog) next Friday, the 22nd in the morning. We will schedule your massage for a date sometime in the 2 weeks following the drawing!

Lucky thoughts being sent your way!

Blogs!

I love blogs! As a massage therapist I think that people want to get to know you so they can trust you. Blogs are the way to do it. They are quick and accessible. Hopefully, mine will help me get "the word" out on new pricing and specials I may be having. But mostly, I want people to be able to come to my blog get to know me, and feel comfortable in choosing me as their therapist.

Please leave comments, ask questions, or suggest specials in the comment area.
